When it comes to toy storage, we believe in simple, open bins that are easy for small hands to access. On the higher end, designers offer unique shapes, colors, and patterns that can establish a room's decor. If you're on a budget, there are a bunch of colorful, simple options that look great in multiples.

Bold, graphic, and instantly identifiable, Hable Construction is one of our favorite online sources for high-end bins, pillows, and textiles. Made from organic fabric and available in 8 different prints and colors, the Storage Bushel shown left is $275.

DwellStudio is a consistent high-quality source for kids' fabrics and accessories (and if you're on a budget, they have a less expensive line at Target). They recently introduced some new sizes and patterns for their toy storage bins. This is the Large Storage Bin in Chocolate Dots, $80.

This web store has a huge selection of modern baby and kids' stuff (also with free shipping for orders over $50), as well as some harder-to-find pieces by independent designers. The p'kolino storage ottoman ($230) is a great little piece that doubles as furniture.

This Santa Monica-based store carries its own line of furniture and bedding, as well as stuff by higher-end modern designers. We love the $400 Loom Toy Trolley, which reminds us of Alvar Aalto's famous tea trolley.

As a source for classrooms and Montessori schools, Community Playthings carries strong and substantial furniture. It's not the most fashion-forward stuff, but it's functional and durable. The Deep Totes (shown left) are available in 5 colors for $12 each, and they're designed to fit inside a stackable frame.
